Welcome To Wirral

Trees

Wirral Council is responsible for the maintenance of more than 16,000 roadside trees. The Council, together with a contractor, look after the stock of highway trees by undertaking inspections, maintenance, re-planting and all aspects of tree care.

Every week residents contact the council asking for tree planting in their road. In response to this demand the Council is introducing an Adopt a Tree scheme.

You can report a fallen tree or a tree and hedge that is overgrown on the road or pavement by either calling Streetscene on (0151) 606 2004, or emailing streetscene@wirral.gov.uk.
