energywatch are the independent national energy watchdog who operate a telephone advice service for households who have complaints or queries about their gas or electricity suppliers. They also provide price comparisons of the various energy companies in order for you to shop around for the best deal (you may save up to £100 a year by switching suppliers). They can be contacted by telephoning 08459 06 07 08.

The Priority Service Register may also assist you if you are of pensionable age or living with disabilities, chronic sickness or have a visual or hearing impairment. It can provide a free annual gas safety check, password scheme and a range of services to make it easier to use your energy supply. It is provided by your energy supplier.
