School Library Talks
Schools' Library Service staff offer talks in schools for parents, governors, staff and children on all aspects of library organisation and resources.
A major part of this is promoting new and exciting fiction: this is particularly helpful in emphasising the pleasure and enjoyment of reading, in line with the DfES report: 'Report for Purpose and Pleasure' in primary schools, and wider reading initiatives in secondary schools.
