Truancy
By law, all children between 5-16 must get a proper full time education and parents are responsible for making sure this happens.
Parents worrying about truancy should contact their child's school in the first instance. If problems cannot be resolved with the headteacher, for further advice and support call the Education Social Welfare Service on (0151) 637 6060.
