Section 52 (budget statement of the authority's planned Education spend)

Local Authorities are required under Section 52 of the School Standards and Framework Act 1998 to prepare and submit a budget statement of the authority's planned Education spend.

This includes:

  • Details of the budget share for each maintained Wirral school
  • How much is spent centrally by the LA for school services
  • How much is spent on Youth and Community Services.

The statement is submitted to the Secretary of State for Education and Skills and is made available to every school and the general public.
