Clerks to Governing Bodies
Welcome to the Clerk to Governors Area
Every governing body requires the services of a good clerk to governors. Your role is a very important one that helps the governing body to carry out its work effectively and efficiently.
The clerk's role is wide and varied and training for clerks is offered termly by the Governor Support Service.
When a new clerk is appointed they will receive a welcome letter and information pack with an invitation to attend training in order to support them in their role. They are also invited to attend the termly cluster group meetings. These meetings are held to provide support for clerks who may sometimes feel isolated in their role, it is also an opportunity for clerks to network and discuss good working practices together.
This is a new area of the website and over the next few months it is hoped that we can expand the page to include more information. 'Watch this space'.
