Welcome To Wirral
Members of the European Parliament
European Parliamentary elections are held every five years with the next election due to take place in June 2014.
European elections use the proportional representation electoral system, which means that the number of seats that a party gets depends on the share of the vote that it receives in each region.
Wirral is part of the North West of England constituency, which has eight MEPs.
