THE WIRRAL AWARD

Each year the Council seeks nominations for the Wirral Award, which confers civic recognition upon individuals or organisations resident or located in Wirral, for an outstanding achievement (within the previous 12 months) or distinguished service to the Borough (over a period of 20 years or more, unless there are exceptional circumstances). Previous recipients of the Award have included individuals who freely give up their time to work with disadvantaged groups, and those who offer their services to different sections of the community that require support.

If you are aware of an individual or organisation who you feel fulfils these requirements, contact the Committee Services section on 0151-691 8491, who will send you a nomination form. Nominations are usually requested over the months of July to September, and completed forms should be returned Committee Services, Corporate Services Department, Town Hall, Wallasey, Wirral CH44 8ED by no later than 30 September.
