Postal Voting
Whether you work or study away from home, are on holiday on polling day, in poor health or it’s simply more convenient for you – everyone who is registered to vote has the option of voting by post. You can apply at any time of year but if you are applying near to an election date there are deadlines by which you must apply.
New legislation means that you must now include a sample signature and your date of birth on the application to vote by post. When you receive your ballot pack at election time you will need to provide your date of birth and signature on the postal vote statement that must be returned with your marked ballot paper. These “identifiers” will be crosschecked with our records. An application form to vote by post is available.
