The Council’s Forward Plan
The Council is required to publish each month a Forward Plan indicating all of the key decisions that will be taken by its Executive (that is, the Cabinet) over the subsequent four-month period.
The Plan contains details of each proposed decision. Each entry in the Plan will include information about the documents submitted to the decision-taker for consideration; the address from which, subject to any prohibition or restriction on their disclosure, copies of, or extracts from, any document listed in the Forward Plan are available; other documents that might be submitted to the decision-taker; and the procedure for requesting details of documents as they become available.
The Forward Plan will be published 14 days before the start of each four-month period, which will commence on the first day of each month. The Plan is available for inspection during normal office hours (usually 9.00am to 5.00pm), free of charge, at Council offices.
It is published in the form of an agenda and can be viewed under Meetings and minutes. Any enquiries regarding the content of the Forward Plan can be directed to the relevant Cabinet member or the responsible officer named in the Plan, or to the Committee Services Section (telephone 606 2000).
