Home fire safety
Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service offers free home fire safety checks. Its new Call Centre at Service Headquarters, Bridle Road, Bootle is able to arrange over 50,000 appointments each year.
It also acts as a signposting service for other departments within the Fire Service.
Fire Service Direct manages the appointments process, liaising with householders and the 26 fire stations in our region. The contact centre also handles incoming calls to the Fire Service's free phone number, 0800 731 5958.
