In order to ensure the safe erection of memorials for the future. The Metropolitan Borough of Wirral in conjunction with the memorial masons have developed a Mermorial Registraton Scheme
The Memorial Registration Scheme has been designed to ensure that a good quality service is provided and that high standards of workmanship are maintained.
For a memorial mason to be registered on this scheme they must ensure that all of their memorials are installed according to the NAMM Code of Working Practice and that their work is covered by a 10 year workmanship guarantee .
The guarantee gives an acceptable standard of work in respect of materials and construction (excluding all applied finishes and subsidence due to ground movement beyond their control).
