Welcome To Wirral
Neighbourhood watch
The Home Watch scheme in Wirral is very strongly supported by the local authority, police and other community safety partners and issues alerts about crime issues and other developments to members. Likewise, members can feed information back in order to alert other areas. It all helps to reduce crime and disorder.
If anyone wishes to become a Neighbourhood Watch leader or wants advice on crime reduction matters or property marking please contact the Wirral Crime Reduction Officers on 0151 606 5480/5484.
Wirral also currently has a number of other ‘Watch’ schemes:
- Pub Watch
- Church Watch
- Golf Watch
- Forecourt Watch
The schemes involve information about types of crimes being committed, specific problems/issues, success stories, operations and initiatives being sent to co-ordinators and deputies of the different schemes and organisations, who then pass the information on to their respective members of which there are over 10,000.
The details are sent via RingMaster, which can send the information either by fax, email or telephone.
For information about Watch schemes in your area, please contact a member of your local Neighbourhood police team by calling into the local station, or emailing webmaster@merseyside.police.uk or by telephone: 0151 709 6010 and ask for your Neighbourhood Station.
