Volunteering info and advice
The Volunteer Development Agency specialises in giving advice and information on all aspects of volunteering and enables people to get involved in a wide range of voluntary activity locally, nationally and internationally.
The VDA is involved in a range of activities related to volunteering, but has a number of key activities, including:
- Interviewing and signposting prospective volunteers.
- Collecting and holding information on local volunteering opportunities.
- Offering support and training to volunteers and to agencies in the public and voluntary sectors which work with volunteers.
- Promoting good practice in local voluntary activity.
- Developing new activities which involve volunteers.
