Health and safety - construction regulations
Britain’s construction industry is the country’s largest industry, employing some 2.2 million people.
However, it is also one of the most dangerous - over the past 25 years more than 2,800 people have died from injuries suffered as a result of construction work. Many more have been injured or made ill.
The Health & Safety Executive deals with all aspects of construction work in England, Scotland and Wales. Their website contains more information on the subject.
