Consumer Direct provides free expert advice on guidance on a wide range of consumer matters throughout the UK.

Consumer Direct is Government backed and works in partnership with local Trading Standards Services, such as that provided by Wirral Council.

Anyone with an enquiry relating to consumer problems such as:-

  • Faulty goods
  • Cars and garages
  • Holiday complaints
  • Non delivery of goods
  • Poor and unfinished building work
  • Credit transactions
  • Misleading prices
  • Doorstep callers
  • Internet purchases
  • Guarantees and warranties
  • Junk mail and telesales

Should contact Consumer Direct on 08454 04 05 06. Calls are charged at the local rate. Enquiries can also be made via the Consumer Direct website.

Consumer Direct will refer your enquiry to ourselves if the matter remains unresolved and requires our intervention or investigation. Once your complaint has been referred, our expert and experienced Consumer Advice staff are able to help you, through legal advice and mediation with the business. We will assist you in taking action through the Small Claims procedure at the County Court if necessary.
