Severe weather warnings
Severe weather warnings will come to you via television, local radio or by word of mouth. Also, Wirral Council will put an alert on the homepage of this website www.wirral.gov.uk
In the event of severe snow:
- Have your emergency provisions ready
- Remain indoors
- If a journey is essential, carry a shovel and a warm blanket and inform someone of your route
In the event of severe storms:
- Secure outdoor items and bring pets indoors
- Close windows and close curtains to protect against flying glass
- Have your emergency provisions ready
- Stay indoors (on the ground floor if possible) and away from windows
- If gas, electricity or water is cut off, contact your supplier.
