Local Housing Allowance Rates
The Rent Service has provided Wirral Council with the following Local Housing Allowance rates for 1 November 2008.

The rates shown above relate to the number of bedrooms required by the household (for example, if a household needs 3 bedrooms their Housing Benefit will be based on the 3 bedroom rate regardless of how many bedrooms the property actually has).
Bedroom allocation is as follows:
One bedroom each for:
- every adult couple
- any other adult aged 16 or over
- any 2 children of the same sex
- any 2 children regardless of sex under age 10
- any other child
