Tickets have been released for the production of The Winter’s Tale By William Shakespeare at Birkenhead Park at the end of August.
Neil Caple from Brookside, On the Ledge, and the Flint Street Nativity Will direct over 30 local actors in this story of love, anger and humour. This version of the Winters Tale has a unique twist in that it’s set in the 1930’s And 1950’s and will be great fun to watch.
Performances take place over the last weekend in August, on the evenings of Friday the 29 th and Saturday 30th – with a matinee on the Saturday afternoon.
Birkenhead Park is a public park and everyone is welcome to come along, however tickets - allowing access to the specially designed open air performance space - are available from Birkenhead Park Visitor Centre between 10 and 4pm Monday to Saturday... and tickets are FREE. If you can’t get to the park to get your tickets you can send a stamped addressed Envelope to Get Into Reading, the Lauries Community Centre, Claughton Road, Birkenhead.
